i had the pleasure of hosting a swap for a yahoo group i'm in called paper traders. the theme was "twisted paper dolls" & we were to create two paper dolls sized between 3" to 8" tall using any medium. the twist was to use an animal head instead of the traditional human head. the results were wonderful! they are all so different and adorable. i really had a hard time choosing just two to keep!
i took group photos to share so all of you could see the sweet dolls. first up are my three meow antoinettes. i used a photo of my kitty Moe & some photos of cakes & cookies, manipulated in Photoshop, to create these little Maries. of course i made an extra so i could keep one for myself!
in the second group are Beckie Holso's giraffe & panda (i did keep the panda, lol), next are Lynne Fitzgerald's brown bear & grey cat, and Connie Holso's brown tabby cat & bunny.
the third group features Susan DuCharme's bear & owl and Letha Richardson's two monkeys.
last, but certainly not least, are Joanie Hoffman's graffiti cat & mouse (i had to keep the mouse!) and Laura Haviland's kitty cats.
wonderful creations ladies, take a bow! you can bet i'll be hosting more swaps, it was super fun to do!

These are really wonderful! What a great idea for the 'twist', so fairytale like! Thanks for your comment on my blog today! You are in Emeryville ~ do you ever visit the Castle??? Come say 'Hi' sometime!
Hi Teri,
I'm so glad you are keeping the mouse! This swap was more difficult for me than I thought it would be when I signed up. Thank you for the challenge!
Happy days,
Joanie
Everyone's dolls are way too cute. I can't wait to see what the postman sends me. :)
Thank you for hosting this swap.

Love the dolls! How do I get in the group that's doing these swaps and stuff. I miss creating things. Since I started my store, seems all my available hours are either working or on the internet. Miss the fun.
